The Fashion Lists is a B2B database of verified fashion retail buyers. We supply curated buyer contacts to brands selling wholesale, so they can reach the right stores for sales outreach, market appointments and new-season launches.
-
TFL has supplied fashion buyer lists since 2019, built on more than ten years of agency, showroom and trade show work. We started the company after watching talented designers create beautiful collections and then struggle with sales and distribution.
Our lists come from those agency roots and trade show relationships. Every contact is researched by hand by our fashion industry editors, covers every retail channel worldwide, and is updated every six months.
-
Our editors research each retailer individually, checking the store's website and social media to confirm it is active. They then build a profile of each account: store type, positioning, product categories, location and price level.
We also email retailers directly to confirm the right contact for line sheets. As former agents ourselves, we know a strong collection means nothing without sales, which is why accuracy comes first.
-
Fourteen data points per contact: store name, country, region, buyer or contact name, direct email address, buying categories, store type, retail positioning, buying power, intelligence tier, recommended outreach strategy, best outreach window for AW, best outreach window for SS, and relevant trade shows.
-
ICON: flagship department stores and luxury platforms. These warrant a market appointment and a tailored approach.
STRATEGIC: the concept stores and independent retailers that build a wholesale business season on season.
CURATED: selective accounts that respond to a considered, direct approach. -
Direct buyer addresses wherever they exist. Where a store operates a single buying inbox, that is what we supply, and the contact name field will indicate it.
-
The full database is reviewed every six months. Buyer roles change quickly in fashion retail, and up to 10% of contacts may move between updates. We catch as much of this as we can, and we include extra contacts in every list to allow for it.
Your licence covers unlimited use for one full year, with one updated list included in that year.
-
Our global lists cover every major market. We also publish regional lists for Europe, North & South America, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. For a specific country or market, request a custom list through our contact form.
-
If you sell in more than one region, the global list in your category is better value than buying regional lists separately.
-
Browse the lists and choose the one that fits your brand, market and budget. We offer lists by category, by region and combined. Add the list to your cart and complete the short order form at checkout. We review every order and send your list by email within one business day.
-
To protect the data. Reviewing every order keeps our lists out of competing databases, which is what keeps them accurate and worth buying.
-
A formatted Excel file, sorted by intelligence tier, sent by email. PDF available on request.
-
We accept all major cards through Stripe, plus Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, Klarna, Affirm and Afterpay. Where online payment is limited in your country, we can accept payment through Wise in your local currency. Contact us to arrange this.
-
Yes. Add your company name, registered address and VAT or tax number in the invoice field at checkout, and we will send the invoice with your list.
-
One-off. Your licence covers unlimited use by your business for one year from purchase, with one updated list included in that year.
-
Yes, within the purchasing business. The licence does not extend to clients, agencies, members or any third party.
-
Not under the standard licence. If you are an agency or showroom working on behalf of brands, contact us and we will arrange appropriate terms.
-
If you don't see it, write to info@thefashionlists.com with your categories and target markets. We will tell you which list fits, or tell you honestly if none does.
-
Tell us what you make and where you want to be stocked before you buy. We would rather point you to the right list than have you purchase the wrong one.
-
Start with the independents most relevant to your brand and build from there. Department stores and luxury platforms pay more attention once you have a track record of selling well and delivering on time.
Make every email visual. Include key images from your lookbook or latest shoot in the body of the email. Many buyers won't open a PDF attachment, so don't rely on one.
Know your brand inside out: your story, your product, what makes it different, your retail and wholesale prices, and any terms you can offer. Buyers ask specific questions.
Think from the buyer's side. Show how your collection fills a gap on their floor, and adjust your pitch to what they tell you they need.
Reply to follow-up emails and calls quickly. If a buyer isn't ready this season, stay in touch. Wholesale is built on long-term relationships, and a no today is often a yes next season.
-
Response rates depend on how well your brand fits each buyer's current needs. Some buyers order straight away; others come back three to six months later when their assortment changes. Product relevance, pricing and presentation make the difference.
What we guarantee is access to verified, qualified buyers. Many of our clients have grown their wholesale accounts tenfold using our lists.
